Jealousy: The Swift Killer

A jealous woman who will likely be on Snapped soonOf all the emotions in the human palette, the single most harmful is jealousy. Lives get taken over it, great leaders have lost their empires because of it and quite frankly you're a fool if you allow it to take hold anywhere in your life.  When people see things they don't have yet, or someone who has excelled at something they don't understand or have previously failed in, the first thing that comes to mind is the deadly green monster.  As an evil genius bent on world domination, you must make sure that as you progress on your journey, you don't flaunt your success in the face of lesser people.  Even if they have no previous ambition, it will strike a fire within even the weakest men to make your down fall their single mission in life.

A prime example:

While I was busy going over plans for my death ray which will inevitably enslave all of mankind, I noticed that one of my henchmen was staring at me in an unhealthy manner.  Although I normally dispatch of such minions, I decided to ask him why he wasn't busy doing my bidding.  "Why are you getting all the glory?  We're doing the work, and all we get is a sack of peanuts and a hut to sleep in!" he roared.  The other minions started to grumble and vocalize some subtle disenchantment, so naturally I eliminated the insurrection by nipping it in the bud.  Another henchman's life is a small price to pay to keep my plans running smoothly.

The lesson:

Don't let jealousy's seeds even reach the soil.  I made a mistake by giving him even a temporary voice, because it instantly created an environment where my other indigenous slaves felt it was acceptable to contest my brainwashing.  Of course, many people cannot stomach the idea of having native slaves who are excited about a sack of peanuts and a shack as their reward for years of back breaking work that ultimately only provide me with glory.  But that's not the point here.  Trampling the weak is part of world domination, and you need to keep them in check in order to succeed.  All it takes is one voice to create complete catastrophe.

Love And Jealousy

To see how nasty things can get when jealous comes into play between men and women, or men and men, or two men and a woman, or whatever suites people, just watch a show called "Snapped" on Oxygen.  One of my minions snickered at the fact that I was watching Oxygen, and the next day he was fighting a lion in a cage for my entertainment.  Anyway, this show is entirely about women who "snap" and kill their husbands/boyfriends/lesbian lovers - and it's pretty much always over jealousy.  That or the woman in question is just bat shit crazy, but what woman isn't?

So when engaging in a relationship with whatever situation you want, be very careful.  There's always the allure of being a "player" but the fact is most people just do it for social validation and self-esteem issues they can't work out.  It's a dangerous game, and most people don't realize that jealousy can cost them their lives.  Even docile housewives will pull a knife or gun out and go to town if the fumes of the green monster enter their skull.  Don't let it happen to you - if you want to screw around, stay single!

Professional Jealousy

There's a saying which is very pertinent to this kind of jealousy: "A man will forgive you if you kill his brother, but take his money and he won't stop until you're dead."  As crazy as it sounds, it's absolutely true - when money comes into play, people get absolutely vicious.  The reason I bring this up is very simple: in professional terms, when someone sees you doing better, they will see it as you taking from them.  Whether you did engage in tactics which created a situation where you are indeed taking things is based on the circumstances, but more often than not this is completely unfounded.  Even if you are the best at what you do, and the jealous person in question is a piece of excrement who has no place in the light of greatness, they'll start thinking, "why should Joe have more minions than me?!"

In general, people don't like to take responsibility for their own roles in uncomfortable situations.  Women won't accept the fact that they got married to a man who had previously cheated on them and, gasp, he cheated again!  Unprofessional hacks can't deal with their own inadequacy and failures, and will look for an easy way to move up - by eliminating symbols of success.  Even if their moves completely ruin their own lives and/or the lives of those around them, they won't consider that.  They'll just want vengence for their jealous hurt.

Warning: DO NOT try to appease these people by giving them little freebies or by granting them effortless promotions, it will only give them more leeway to work on you.  Get away from them, or if you feel your life may very well be in danger, dispose of them swiftly.

Don't be a victim.  Nip jealousy in the bud.

  1. Yeah, I’m in an undisclosed middle school (I will not tell you because you will simply attempt to eliminate the competition), and I was wondering. I have $24 and I want to start an inexpensive, legitimate business. What would be a good idea? Just send me a message on Myspace (Display name “Tyler WTF!!!).

  2. I’m quite sure I have more minions than you
